UBM India started operations with the head office in Mumbai in May 2006 and subsequently opened branch offices in Delhi , Bangalore , Chennai and Ahmedabad. The new offices are designed to provide an operational base for all UBM's businesses as they develop their activities across the sub-continent.
UBM India launched a number of new events in 2006 and subsequently held successful events in the years 2007 and 2008. - CPhI India (Convention on pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates.. PMEC (Pharmaceutical machinery & equipment convention & ICSE ( International Contract Service Expo together, is the biggest and most comprehensive pharmaceutical trade exhibition in South Asia . Food Ingredients India (Fi) conference and exhibition, Hotelex India, address niche sectors. IFSEC India 2007 was a successful launch and this event established UBM India's entry into the security market. IFSEC India 2008 along with Firex India addressed the security as well as the fire sectors. The 2009 IFSEC event will also have Internal Security being held concurrently. . The Hyderabad Jewellery and Gem fair - the key professional fair for the jewellery market in south India , was launched in 2008. UBM India also successfully partnered with MJDMA and organized the B2B Gem & Jewellery India International exhibition at Chennai in 2009. UBM India this year also launched Informex (an event for fine chemicals & specialty chemicals and pharmaceutical industries) and fMM&T fair (footwear material machinery and technology), Other launches which require mention this year are Interop Mumbai 2009 - Worlds Leading Information Technology Event in the enterprise space , India Energy & India Nuclear Energy. UBM India will also be launching some more new events in 2010.
