MphasiS has recently announced the appointment of former
Hewlett-Packard (HP) executive Ganesh Ayyar, as the company’s
chief executive officer and a member of the MphasiS Board of
Directors.
Ayyar will take on his role with immediate effect, reporting
directly to, Michael Coomer, chairman - MphasiS and senior vice
president, Asia Pacific & Japan Region, Global Financial
Services Industry of EDS, an HP Company. He will be based at
MphasiS’ headquarters in Bangalore.
“Ganesh Ayyar has demonstrated great success over many
years at HP where he built, developed and grew significant business
groups," said Coomer. "He brings to us an unrivalled understanding
of Finance, Sales & Marketing, General Management, P&L
Management and People Management. He is a great leader for our
executive team and his vast experience will enable us leverage
synergies between MphasiS and HP."
Ayyar joins the company from HP where he was vice president,
Managed Services, Asia Pacific & Japan. This business
covers selective sourcing and small and medium outsourcing deals.
He joined the company in 1989 and has held several roles across its
diverse business groups across geographies. In 1999, Ayyar was the
president of HP India and was instrumental in strengthening the
company’s position in India. He was also the co-lead for
pre-merger Integration Planning for HP-Compaq Merger for Asia
Pacific & Japan. From 2004 to 2008, Ayyar was vice president of
Outsourcing Services Business Unit for Asia-Pacific &
Japan.
