The SAP platform will help MTS in standardizing the company’s back office finance, accounting and human resource processes InformationWeek News Network, May 07, 2010
MTS, the mobile telephony services brand for Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL), recently announced that it will consolidate its business processes on a single SAP platform.

As one of the leading consumer-focused telecommunications company in the region, MTS has expanded its horizon in high quality CDMA voice and high speed data services market. The SAP software will help support that growth momentum at MTS in standardizing and accelerating the company’s back office finance, accounting and human resource process requirements. It will also help in improving customer service of all the 22 regional zones that it operates in the country.

SAP was selected to fulfill MTS’ needs for a flexible and seamless integration to address out-of-the-business requirements.

“MTS India will leverage SAP’s global best practices including SAP ERP, treasury and risk management, process and data integration,  and business user applications to drive growth and for the benefit of our four million plus subscribers,” said Rajeev Batra, Chief Information Officer, Sistema Shyam TeleServices.

“As the demand for consumer-focused services continues to be the key criteria for the telecom sector, our customers need a robust technology foundation to gain competitive edge,” said Ajay Turki, Head - Telecommunication, SAP India subcontinent.
