Offers customers 8Gbps FC in keeping with customer demand for higher performance InformationWeek News Network, March 11, 2010

EMC India announced new prices for its range of unified storage solutions in response to growing customer demand for these products. The EMC product range starts from Iomega ix2 priced at 19,999 which extends through to the CLARiiON and Celerra range of storage products. All the products except Iomega come with a 48 month warranty on hardware, which follows the industry norm. Further, these products are available through 200 plus EMC partners spread across 40 cities throughout India.

EMC’s latest pricing comes in response to customer requirements for optimizing IT infrastructure and reducing complexity. With EMC’s unified storage products, the client can begin to save on expenses through consolidation and storage tiering of data. In addition, all EMC products listed are virtualization-ready, and with virtualization being the CIO’s number one priority for 2010, EMC expects a strong market response to these newly priced products.

Further the products have 8Gbps FC capacity to offer double the throughputs for higher performance for customers. With information expansion within the digital world, customers are demanding higher performance at same or lower costs.

EMC is also offering its latest UltraFlexTM Technology which offers dual-protocol, online-expandable connectivity and is future proof from a technology standpoint.

Speaking about the latest offer, Manoj Chugh, President, India and SAARC said: “Our customers want to invest in information infrastructure for the future but are still value conscious. We are therefore, offering our best range of products at prices that may support this requirement. EMC expects a strong market response to these products which will help grow the unified storage market in India.”
