Aditi Technologies unveils solution for biological research
Called DNA PReDuST, the solution is deployed on top of Microsoft’s bioinformatics platform InformationWeek News Network, April 09, 2010

Aditi Technologies has recently unveiled its new solution designed for use by scientists involved in Bioinformatics, genomics and pharma research. Called DNA PReDuST or ‘DNA Parallel Restriction Digestion using Suffix Trees’, the solution is deployed on top of Microsoft Biology Foundation (MBF), Microsoft’s recent Bioinformatics platform offering, co-engineered by the company and Aditi Technologies.

The solution is an in-silico software that can help scientists involved in Bioinformatics, genomics and pharma research identify appropriate slots in a DNA sequence.

The company claims that it is the first solution in the Indian market that not only supports all kinds of restriction enzymes (Type I, II and III) but also takes into account real time laboratory conditions (i.e. temperature and pH) while conducting the experiments. This offers several benefits such as significant boost in test accuracy, reduction in multiple iterations and cycle time and ultimately reduced costs.

It also offers some interesting and intuitive visualizations for DNA’s restriction and digestion maps, which can help increase productivity for researchers.

Aditi Technologies is a core member of Microsoft led BioIT Alliance - a cross-industry group working to integrate science and technology to accelerate bioinformatics and pharmaceutical research.
