Avaya has appointed Jangoo Dalal as the new Managing Director for India.

Based in Mumbai, Dalal will report to John DiLullo, President for Asia Pacific. In this new role, Dalal is tasked with driving Avaya’s overall business strategy in India and strengthening its position in its core areas of unified communications and contact center solutions.

This is a newly created role for Avaya. The company has so far relied upon its majority-owned subsidiary, Avaya Global Connect, as its sole route to market in India. In addition to ensuring the successful operations of AGCL, Dalal will also be chartered with forging Avaya’s entry into existing and emerging Indian markets and channels.

“India is a critical market for Avaya. Jangoo’s experience in building high-performance teams, his extensive knowledge of the industry, and his proven ability to drive growth made him the perfect candidate to expand Avaya’s presence in the region. Prior to joining Avaya, Dalal served as CEO and Managing Director for D-Link India and before that he spent 10 years in various roles at Cisco Systems including donning the post of President, India and South Asia.
