Winners of 6th Nasscom Global leadership awards announced
Awards seek to recognize individuals for their role in building business excellence and technology leadership within their organizations InformationWeek News Network, February 10, 2010

Nasscom has announced the winners of the 6th Nasscom Global Leadership Awards. The awards, conceptualized and presented by Nasscom, seek to recognize individuals for their role in building business excellence and technology leadership within their organizations.

The ‘Business Leader’ award is for an individual who set the company on a path of innovation, customer responsiveness and corporate governance and enabled the company to achieve rapid growth and profitability. This year’s ‘Business Leader’ award winner is Anshu Jain, Global Markets and Member of the Management Board, Deutsche Bank, AG.

The ‘CIO Award for excellence in IT usage’ goes to an individual who has helped put in place a strong IT/BPO strategy within the organization, and encouraged extensive use of technology to achieve business goals and operational excellence. This year’s winner is Filippo Passerini, President - Global Business Services & CIO, Procter & Gamble.

The ‘Business Innovation’ award goes to a leader who has managed to distinguish himself in a competitive market through business model innovation. This award is for a leader who has spearheaded or championed such innovation and enabled the organization to rank among creative, ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking firms within the world of business. This year’s winner is Dana S Deasy, Group CIO, British Petroleum.

The ‘Vision’ award recognizes an influential leader for his pioneering work on globalization, economic development and business strategy. This year’s award went to Stephen Roach, Chairman, Morgan Stanley Asia.
