Kronos, a global player in workforce management solutions, and IT
major Wipro, announced the creation of a strategic alliance for
addressing key markets and business challenges in the realm of
workforce management. A Centre of Excellence (CoE) to be jointly
established by Kronos and Wipro is aimed at addressing the
challenges of controlling labour costs, minimizing compliance risk,
and improving workforce productivity in
India.
The alliance is aimed at leveraging Wipro’s market leadership
in enterprise applications service delivery in taking Kronos
workforce management solutions to key targeted segments of
manufacturing, services, healthcare, retail, and government &
public sector. Wipro, with its vast experience in India, claims to
be well positioned to enable seamless integration of the Kronos
solution with existing core ERP applications or other applications
to enable faster ROI for its customers.
Speaking on this occasion, Dick Cahill, Vice President &
General Manager, International Operations, Kronos, said,
“India is an exciting emerging market for Kronos. We are
doing all we can to leverage our global leadership in workforce
management to help organizations control labour costs, minimize
compliance risk, and improve workforce productivity.”
The CoE will create a Centre of Expertise on Kronos and address
issues such as how to keep pace with new technologies, enhance
business, and offer optimized solutions based on right
technologies, architectures, and frameworks. While the CoE
will provide the joint go-to-market strategies for reselling Kronos
workforce management solutions, it will also focus on sharing best
practices, standards, and reference architecture, as well as and
creating re-usable components that can be leveraged across
different client engagements to accelerate and standardize
implementations.
