EMC Documentum Bags the Best “Content Management System” Award
NWC News Network, June 11, 2008

EMC Documentum Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform won the Great Indian Developer Award at the Great Indian Developer Summit 2008.

Documentum was voted by developers in India and around the world for being the best content management system in that category. According to Saltmarch Media, the organizers of the Great Indian Developer Summit 2008, it was commended for providing a unified environment for storing, accessing, organizing, controlling, retrieving and delivering any type of unstructured information within an enterprise, and for leading the industry in service-oriented enterprise content management and for presenting customers with a comprehensive suite of developer components and tools.

"The robust tools in this suite for managing documents, records, web content, digital assets and collaboration, coupled with its huge popularity in the Indian enterprise content and document management space, squarely places it on top of the "Content Management" category at the Great Indian Developer Awards 2008," said Indu Britto, Group Publisher & Senior Vice President at Saltmarch Media, the organizers of the Great Indian Developer Summit 2008.

Mr. Sarv Saravanan, Vice President and Managing Director, EMC India Center of Excellence, said, “This award comes as a fitting recognition to the innovation demonstrated by the platform to lead the industry into the next generation of enterprise content management in the industry. Customers will attest to the advantages of having a unified content architecture which is vendor-neutral and services-based, and to the way the company’s enterprise content management approach has changed the way their businesses build, configure and deploy content applications. The India COE engineering teams have made significant contributions to building the platform in Bangalore and will continue to work with their colleagues around the world to take ECM to the next level.”

The company provides an enterprise class content management system with a unified content architecture. Its demonstrated stability and scalability enables an organization to seamlessly incorporate content management into its information infrastructure. The platform supplies a client infrastructure with the framework and tools that allow users to process and use content management functionality across a range of desktop, portal, or web-based applications.
