Intellisys Launches IP-based Video Conferencing Software

INTELLISYS Technologies & Research Ltd, a high-end R&D company in the field of technology enabled collaboration and unified communication, has launched Vennfer, an IP-based video conferencing software.

The product has been beta tested with several customers abroad as well with over 25 customers in India including Eveready Industries, Greenply industries, Omaxe, Peerless, Sahara TV Network, Descon, Mainland China, and Srei. The company has signed on VSNL and TATA Indicom as Business Partners for the solution.

Vennfer enables real-time audio, video, and data communication over LAN, WAN (Leased Lines, VSATs, VPNs) and broadband using TCP/IP multicasting technology and software-based MPEG 4 Codec, conserving real time bandwidth in case of synchronous audio and video delivery at multipoint locations. It is designed to run at bandwidths starting from 10 kbps to 2 Mbps. According to a company spokesperson, “Vennfer” saves between 65-91 per cent of recurring bandwidth cost and 50-65 per cent of capital cost compared to traditional hardware based video conferencing systems.

Vennfer offers 37 way simultaneous videoconference locations from a single PC/laptop/ Mobile or any other display screen. It enables enterprise videoconferencing between users from multi-point locations , right from board rooms and meeting rooms to desktops and mobiles. It also enables sharing of Word, Power Point, Excel, PDF, Chat, Whiteboard, and other applications from a single display.

“Vennfer also enables switching between meeting and surveillance mode to enable real time surveillance features across the enterprise,” the company spokesperson added.
