SpikeSource To Host SuiteTwo
NWC News Network, July 20, 2007

SpikeSource, a provider of open source solutions, has released hosted version of its Intel-powered SuiteTwo, a turnkey appliance that allows organizations to implement leading Web 2.0 technologies.

SuiteTwo integrates market-leading Web 2.0 technologies from Six Apart, SocialText, SimpleFeed, NewsGator and Visible Path to drive mass collaboration in organizations. A company release said it also brings "SaaS-like" capabilities to organizations wishing to deploy Web 2.0 functionality using a hosted model.

SuiteTwo supplies end-users a common user interface, straightforward navigation and single sign-on without the challenges of on-premise systems management. "Enterprise CIOs want suites for Web 2.0 deployments because it meets their requirements for ease of deployment and management," said Kim Polese, CEO of SpikeSource.

SuiteTwo is the product of a collaboration with Intel, Six Apart (an Intel Capital portfolio company), Socialtext, SimpleFeed and NewsGator. It offers a convergence of complementary advanced applications of blogs, wikis, content aggregation, RSS feeds and search. It demonstrates a fundamental shift towards open, flexible and participatory models of integration between businesses, the company added.
